I had a larger computer with a larger screen and wanted the same features as that is what is important to me. Geek Squad refused to give me full purchase price or full credit for my larger MacBook Pro and forced me to pay $30 more just to get this one. Computer is great...wish the screen was bigger though because I usually have multiple programs open and once. Would strongly discourage anyone from investing in the Geek Squad protection plan though. I spent $2000 on a computer with protection plans and ended up with a $1000 computer in the end.

Great Laptop

Posted by: Dbtman from Frisco, TX on 05/20/2013This my second Apple computer (we have iPhones and iPads) and we love it. Light weight, easy to use. For business purposes, I suggest getting Office 365. Apple's equivalent will get you by, but it's just not the same.

It is an amazing machine, very fast and although the commands seem the exact opposite of Windows PCs, it hasn't taken long for me to figure things out. I love the clean interface and the Mac App Store. I'm a teacher and will primarily use the MacBook for work, so I had planned to buy Office for Mac, but with Pages, Numbers and Keynote, I really don't see the point! They get the job done and more elegantly than Office. Best Buy's price match program is wonderful, so I was able to get it for a lower price. I am very pleased with my purchase!

Great laptop once I got over the price

I got my first laptop fresh out of high school and it was an HP and it still works great four years later. The problem with my HP was it would freeze and not respond A LOT. I've only had the MacBook Pro for about 2 weeks but I really am satisfied with it. It really light weight and it has amazing programs that automatically sync with my iPhone. I also was contemplating if it was worth the extra $500 since it would take 4-5 hours for simple updates. Ultimately I am satisfied with my MacBook because it does live up to its reputation. At least so far.
