Play music, movies, get directions etc. It has a learning curve as with most electronics but the features are wonderful and convenient. I would suggest purchasing insurance and buying a cover.

They can connect to the internet for homework and fun. Sometimes the connection of the calls aren't so great but I think it is the app we are using. Great for listening to music as well.

Great iPod for a first timer.

Has great sound & picture quality. Wish it was bigger in size rather than the 16 GB. But otherwise a cool gadget to own. Best when used with a good screen protector and rubber case to prevent screen breakage.
