Posted by: Shokilla from Dinwiddie, Va on 06/19/2013I replaced an old rear-projection HDTV (2002) with this to get HDMI and true HD (1080P vs the 480P/1080i of the time). I have a blu-ray player, xbox 360, a direct tv tuner, and a 7.1 surround reciever. Everything goes into the reciever with HDMI and then I go out with a single HDMI into the TV. I like the picture, I can't comment on the sound since I use the stereo. Movies look super crispy. I watched game 6 of the NBA Finals last night and was pretty pleased. I've only played one XBox 360 game and there is some choppiness but it may be the refresh rate. I'm not much for the 120Hz but I'm trying to get used to it. I'm sure the TV can down-scale to 60Hz if I need it to.
It took me an hour to get the TV hung on the wall, 30 minutes more to configure my Logitech Remote, 15 minutes to make the HDMI connections, and 2 minutes to make sure everything works. I did the work by myself which I do not recomment unless you know what you are doing and know how to handle these TVs.
If you're someone who is just looking for a TV to hold you over until the nice models come down in price and you sit more than 8 feet away from your TV this is a good choice. The alesman tried to upsell me to a different make but I am not ready to drop a grand or more on a TV just yet.

Solid Entry Level 55" LCD

Nearly a full tenth of a second off. With XBOX 360 at least, you can change if you use VGA or HDMI to a non-standard PC style resolution and lag is gone. Otherwise, good TV.
