Excellent choice for a novice user

Easy to learn, comfortable to use

Posted by: Jensays from Queens, NY on 05/19/2013This is my 1st tablet, and the setup was quick and easy especially since I already have Google accounts (including Gmail and calendar) for most apps. Had some initial problems with the WiFi, but after changing my router setting to a more secure connection, that has stopped. However, I found their telephone support to be very lacking. I still haven't been able to resolve why video doesn't work with Skype, and that's upsetting because it's one of the main reasons I bought the tablet.
However, for the most part, I'm enjoying this tablet. I use it constantly, and carry it in my handbag easily. The Kindle software gives me the chance to read on a nice sized screen without buying yet another device. There's a wide variety of apps available now for Android, most of which are compatible with this tablet. For music, I'll stick with my Ipod Touch, and I truly dislike Google Play. But if you're like me and can't afford an Ipad, this is a great alternative for much less, and you'll be very comfortable very quickly.

Versatile tablet for its price

Only drawback is the Android market has lots of apps which I am not really interested in and kids have easy access to. May have to tighten security settings. Overall a great buy.
